Job Details

Research Field Supervisors – (based in Gombe)
Job Location: Gombe State, Nigeria
Project: Gates2 MNCH Project
Duration of Contract: Full-time Contract, Two (2) Months
Number of Persons – Ten (10) Persons  
                                                                                        

Job Description

The candidate when employed will be responsible for providing support, data management and quality assurance for the CRADLE device study of the Gates2 MNCH project in Gombe State, Nigeria.

Job Role

The following are the duties attached to this job position
  • Assemble and enter quantitative data
  • Validate and ensure that there is quality through review of registers, other primary data collection tools, and backchecks
  • Collect quantitative data and total findings weekly
  • Train village health workers on data collection and correct application of blood pressure monitoring devices
  • Hold frequent meetings with VHWs and visit health facility to resolve data management issues that may arise on the field
  • Be available to work in any of the following wards and their localities; Akko, Balanga, and Gombe LGAs
  • Support the project in terms of informed decision making as it affects the CRADLE study
  • Support the remaining routine data collection, reporting, information, dissemination  and implementation information gotten from the CRADLE study

Required Qualifications/Experience

Applicants are required to possess the following qualifications and experiences
  1. Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, development studies, health sciences, or other related fields
  2. Must have at least one (1) year cognate experience in the conduct of FGDs and KIIs
  3. Must possess passion for field work and research and demonstrable experience in managing data collection workers
  4. Being able to speak the Hausa language fluently and the ability to communicate data findings and ideas clearly to different audiences would be an added advantage
  5. Must be able to use Micro Soft office package
  6. Required be resident in Gombe state.
