The Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) in Nigeria invites applications from postgraduate students in Nigeria for the 2019/2020 SPDC Postgraduate Research Internship for Nigerian postgraduate Students in Nigerian Universities.

Shell PDC operates and holds 30% of the Joint Venture Agreement between Total Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited (TEPNG) with 10 percent, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) which keeps 55 percent and Nigerian Agip Oil Company Limited (NAOC) holding only 5% of the venture.

Operating with these Joint Venture Partners, the Shell Petroleum Development Company can on average produce about one million barrels of crude oil per day. Internship Details

Description of Internship

The Shell Postgraduate Research Internship is aimed at providing opportunities for M.Sc, M.Phil, and Ph.D. postgraduate students in Nigeria to obtain industry relevant work experience and undertake topical research within Shell Petroleum Companies across Nigeria.

Team Field and Discipline

Applicants are required to select from any of the following Team/Disciplines and indicate such in their application letter.
  1. Environment: Botany/Revegetation, Impact Assessment, Environmental Management, and Biology /Chemistry,
  2. Oil Spill Response: Environment-friendly Bio-remediation.
  3. Occupational Health: Occupational Health
  4. Strategy Development and Value Assurance: Computer Data Management and Analysis, and ICT
